Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Web3Codes is a set of free, browser-based Web3 tools. This policy describes, in plain language, exactly what happens to your data when you use them — because “no tracking” is a claim worth backing up with specifics, not just a slogan.

No accounts, no sign-up

There is nothing to register for. We don’t collect emails, usernames, or passwords, and there’s no account database to be breached in the first place.

What runs in your browser

The Unit Converter, ABI Encoder/Decoder, and Address Tools do everything locally in your browser — no data you type into them is ever transmitted anywhere. Nothing is written to your browser’s local storage either; refresh the page and it starts clean.

What gets sent to a blockchain node

The Gas Tracker, Token Approval Checker, and parts of Address Tools read public blockchain data by calling free public RPC endpoints (PublicNode) directly from your browser. These calls carry whatever address or query you’re asking about — the same information that’s already public on any block explorer — and nothing else.

Third-party services used by the Token Approval Checker

Finding historical approvals uses the Etherscan API, called through our own server (so the address you’re checking reaches Etherscan from our server, not directly from your browser or IP). Checking a spender’s contract verification status and threat-intelligence flags uses GoPlus Security’s public API, called directly from your browser — it receives the spender’s address being evaluated, never the address you’re checking. The optional AI summary sends only the already-computed risk signals (symbols, risk levels, flags) to Groq for summarization — no addresses are included in that request.

Wallet connection

Connecting a wallet is only ever required to send a revoke transaction, never to check anything. Wallet connections are handled by RainbowKit/WalletConnect, which may involve WalletConnect Cloud’s own infrastructure per their privacy policy. We never ask for, see, or store a seed phrase or private key — transactions are signed entirely inside your own wallet.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool, to see aggregate usage (like page views) — it does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and cannot track you across other websites. No individual visitor profile is ever built or stored.

Changes to this policy

If how these tools handle data changes, this page will be updated to reflect it — the goal is that this document never says less than what actually happens.
