Contract Diff Tool

Compare the verified source of two contracts, line by line.

Two verified contracts, one diff

Pulls the verified source for each address from the block explorer and runs a standard line-level diff — the same kind of comparison you’d get from git diff, just for two on-chain contracts that were never in the same repo.

How it works

Both contracts’ verified source is fetched, flattened into one text block each (multi-file contracts get every file concatenated, labeled), then compared line by line — added lines in green, removed lines in red.

Frequently asked questions

Common cases: checking what actually changed in a new proxy implementation before it's upgraded, verifying a "new" token isn't just a renamed clone of a known scam contract, or confirming two deployments across chains are really the same code.

The diff needs both sides' actual source code, so an unverified contract can't be compared — you'll see which one is missing it.

Yes — this is a straightforward line-by-line text diff, not a semantic/AST-aware comparison. Reformatting, comment changes, or reordered (but functionally identical) code will show up as differences even if the compiled behavior is unchanged.
