Honeypot / Scam Token Checker

Simulate a real buy-then-sell before you risk anything — spot tokens that let you buy but not sell.

Simulation by honeypot.is’s free public API — a real buy-then-sell is simulated against the token’s actual liquidity pool.

The most common trap: you can buy, but you can’t sell

A honeypot token looks completely normal to buy — the transaction goes through, your wallet shows the new balance, everything looks fine. The trap only shows up the moment you try to sell: the transaction reverts, or an enormous hidden tax eats almost everything. By then your money is already in.

How this tool catches it before you do

Rather than reading the contract’s source (which a malicious deployer can obfuscate anyway), this simulates the actual sequence — buy, then immediately try to sell — against the token’s real liquidity pool, and reports exactly what happens without ever broadcasting a real transaction.

Frequently asked questions

A token whose contract lets anyone buy it, but blocks (or effectively taxes at ~100%) anyone trying to sell — usually via logic that only whitelists the deployer's own address to sell freely. Everyone else's money is trapped.

It runs a real buy transaction against the token's live liquidity pool, then immediately simulates a sell of what was just bought — all without broadcasting anything for real. If the simulated sell fails or comes back near-zero, that's the honeypot signature.

The underlying detection service (honeypot.is) currently simulates against Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Base specifically — it isn't available for every chain this site otherwise covers.

It means this specific buy/sell simulation didn't trip a honeypot pattern right now — not a full audit. Ownership renouncement, mint functions, blacklist functions, and other risks aren't covered here; treat a clean result as one good signal among several, not a guarantee.
